How do we get there?
Before you get overwhelmed with this idea, and the magnitude it implies, think back to your history books on how the colonists or sea faring travelers traveled from one point to another.
- What mode of transportation did they use, (e.g. a clipper ship, etc)?
- How was their vehicle powered, (e.g. the wind, etc)?
- What survival provisions did they need to accomplish this task?
Now, just looking at just the few I mentioned here, ask yourself how do we answer these same kinds of questions for a space faring nation.
The longer the travel, the bigger the ship.
